Upon such an occasion as this, there are certain things expected (ie. smashing champagne against a boat, rejoicing, cutting a pretty red ribbon, and so forth). However, it will suffice to write this:

I have devised in my mind, indeed, I have been plotting for some time now to embark upon creating (and actually writing in) a blog. Here I will store my unusual finds, my contemplations, and perhaps even my struggles. Call it all, the quirks of life.

So this week has been a little stressful for me. As some of you may know, this is the first week of school here at byu. And I've been contemplating my classes, probably over thinking my classes, and I've been really stewing about it all. When Paradigms Shift

I was in class this week, learning about family paradigms. To be honest, I was a little bored, but as I've thought about what I learned, I've seen some amazing parallels to what I've been observing about life.  I never knew there were so many ways to define a family until I took this class. There are four “paradigms” that families typically fall under: the closed  family, the r A n d o m family, the open family, and the synchronous family.  Each family is characterized differently based on their attitude toward rules and how those rules come into being. Where have I been, you ask?

I've been thinking. Maybe why so many people get caught up never blogging after the first or second time is because we're either a) pressed for time, b) don't know what to blog about, or c) we don't know how to say what we want to blog about. Or d) all of the above. So where have I been? Midterms. College is crazy ! But it's so fun too. I've started about three posts that I did not find worthy to make it to publishing yet. So here's what I think I'm going to do. I want to start " I go to BYU " posts. Oh, by the way, I go to Brigham Young University! These posts will consist of things I see (and hopefully pictures) around campus, consisting of events or occurrences that I find interesting or in other ways noteworthy.
